I love gardening! Gardening is the number one outdoor hobby, and I know why. It's a great way to grow your own organic herbs, flowers, and vegetables. Even if you have a small

area that will only accommodate a few containers, you can still grow many types of herbs and flowers and vegetables. It's just so great to walk outside and pick fresh herbs for the evenings meal. I love picking fresh lettuces which only need one or two square feet of space to give you enough lettuce for sandwiches and salad for two.
Have a window sill mini garden in my kitchen is s. Just having a few herbs on the windowsill can transform a so-so sandwich, pizza, crackers and cheese, soup, or salad into a gourmet treat. Add some fresh dill or sage to a grilled cheese sandwich for variety. Sprinkle a bit of shredded basil on tomato soup. Add the basil and some oregano to marinara sauce and you'll have a sauce that tastes as if it was made in a four star restaurant.
If you love flowers, a six-by-six plot of land can provide hundreds of blooms for your enjoyment. One lavendar plant can produce enough lavendar to fragrance the linen cupboard, or to place in a vase for the powder room. A couple of daisy mounds can provide a summer time full of fresh flowers for the home.
If you are a beginner, start small and soon you will want to expand your container garden; or plant a small area in your yard or patio and enjoy the "fruits of your labor" for months.
